New Here

Simple.

  1. We believe new churches are the most effective avenue to help new people have a belief in Christ that will grow them spiritually.
  2. We believe new churches can give people a hope in everyday people like never before. A local church is the gift of God to a community if it loves and serves people as he commands.
  3. We believe new churches can help us imagine our world restored in new and creative ways. New churches offer a fresh start at relating to the ever changing needs of society and are less bound by traditional methods that worked in the past.

At Forest City you can expect a few things to happen:

  1. You can expect a relevant and family-friendly Sunday morning service that is designed to celebrate the love that God has offered us in Jesus Christ.
  2. You can expect a diverse mix of people from different races, backgrounds, ages, and life situations that are passionate about genuinely caring for those around us in need.
  3. You can expect creativity and beauty in our worship that reflects a God who has created us and our world in his very image.
  4. You can expect a laid back atmosphere that allows for you to relax and join in the celebration no matter what your circumstances in life might be.

We get this question all the time and rightly so. The religious landscape in America is hard to keep up with at times and people often use denominational labels to make a set of assumptions about someone or a group. Forest City is made up of people from a variety of denominational backgrounds probably much like your community. Therefore, we align with a local multi-denominational effort called NEO360 that focuses on restoring communities through collaborative church planting. We are part of a group that is for Jesus first and our denominational background second. We believe the essentials of the Christian faith as described in the Lausanne Covenant.
